Simple:Press 5 on GoDaddy Managed WordPress Hosting?

I want to host a small, low-volume WordPress site that has a Forum page based on Simple:Press.

I am planning to use GoDaddy. $1/month sounds good to me, when volume and performance are not an issue.

Can anyone confirm that this works?

no reason it shouldnt… of course, shared hosting cant handle much volume of traffic..

Confirming Mr. Papa’s reply, it is working just fine.

I had to download the plugin as a .zip file, then upload it to the WordPress admin site.

There was an error on activation, but a quick search showed that this is a common problem when activating immediately after upload, and the solution was to go to the Plugins page, and activate from there.

When you say ‘this is a common problem when activating immediately after upload’ do you mean a common WordPress problem or a common Simple:Press problem?

Yellow Swordfish, I saw references to plugins other than Simple:Press.
