SimplePress Email Server

So I found where Simple:Press sends the Welcome E-Mail, which I assume uses our website’s server for SMTP. Is there a way to change that, and relay it through SES or our GMail Services?

well, again, simple press does not send emails, your wordpress installation does… we use the email api provided by wp…

so to change something as drastic as that, you would need something that alters the wp email behavior… there are plugins for that…

but, what you can change easily from within simple press is the from email address or the name the email comes from… these settings are on forum – options – email settings…

The issue isn’t so much the sending email itself, as the IP Address that the email will be coming from. We’d like to mask that as much as possible, so using something other than our WordPress install would be great! Will look into other plugins and see what my options are!

I freely admit I have never personally looked at the available options but my understanding is that there are several plugins out there.
Would be intterested to hear what you find and settle on…

Hey,

We decided to go with “Easy WP SMTP” – seems to work well.
