I can't get the smileys to work in 5.0.

I have installed and activated TinyMCE, checked 'Allow Smileys' in Components/Smileys/, I even uploaded the WP smiley set and manually configured them in the Smileys config, but nothing.

My storage location is correct: wp-content/forum-smileys/

I did browse through the subfolders in the TinyMCE pugin download and I did not locate anything that looked like a smiley folder.

What do you suggest I try next? It's a bit annoying because any emoticon references in posts are now showing as broken image links.

not sure what you mean by uploaded smiley set...  via ftp or the api in sp?  needs to be latter via the smiley uploader on forum - components - smileys...

I think if you go to that panel, it will find the ones you uploaded and you can edit and then save...

That's what I did. I uploaded the WP set via ftp, then went into the smiley area and added all of the ;), :), roll, and so on...

The smiley panel in TinyMCE is dead (inactive), and the smiley area below the post edit field is still blank.

Strange. Can you give me a link to your forum? Will I be able to see the editor as a guest visitor?

You must be registered to post. If you don't want to register, then I could enable guest posting for a short period, but I'd prefer you register, otherwise I open the spam floodgates.
