Forum admin > Components > Editor (TinyMCE). Thus is where you set which TinyMCE buttons and TinyMCE plugins you want to use.

The TinyMCE plugin ‘wltags’ had been added to the plugin list. This explains why it was trying to load it and it was reporting a failure. It does not work with the use of the TinyMCE editor on the public side of your site – only in the Admin.

So I simply removed it and set the options back to their default state. By the way – all being well we have a fix for the heavy font being seen on the buttons which is a result of changes to WordPress in 3.8. We will be releasing a 5.4.0 Simple:Press either today or tomorrow.

There’s one more question, now that it works.

It’s about performance.

For new topic, when “Add Topic” is clicked, the subject line pops right away, but the MCE is stuck for 8 seconds before it shows.

Any thoughts to why this may happen and how to fix this ?

Thanks,

Ronen.

sounds like a slow server?  is this shared hosting?  sounds like its just loading all the various tinymce components and slow on your server…

I might be wrong, but 8 seconds delay sound a lot, regardless of the platform. Any forum page loads much faster. Is the anything else that you could suspect ?

and yes, currently it is shared until we launch.

the 8 second delay is not coming from simple press…  the page loads immediately as your server renders it…

I am unable to look at your forum page to see what any server delay or external loading might be since its behind paywall..
