Love V 5 of Simple:Press!
I’d like to suggest a way be found to change the order of display of topics. Right now the sort order is the time of posting and it would be nice if the display order could be changed either:
1) Alphabetical
2) Drag and drop
3) A number which could indicate the order
Anyway it would be nice but I understand it’s not an earth shaking need…..
Gosh – never been asked that before. Do any forums offer such a thing?
I can note it for discussion but we do tend to weight user requests by the frequency they come up so it might be quite low on the list!
I know its probably not offered anywhere else but I’ve always wished I had the ability for 10+ years of running forums.
I probably will be asking for it 10 years from now too
Well the sequence number and the drag and drop ideas are doable but would require a whole UI package to go along side it.
The alphabetical one is real simple. I could tell you how to change the core code for that easily enough (although it would be globally applied of course). Using V5 it would be even easier because it could be done with a WP filter. Still a bit of code but safely outside of the core…
