So after all of that BS here’s what I learned…..

1.  The primary problem with pasting code and highlighting it was due to an error on my computer.  I restarted it, and the problem went away.

2.  I cannot paste directly from NetBeans – even using paste as plain text.  I need to cut from NetBeans and paste into Notepad.  Then cut from notepad and paste into the forum.  This is the case with NetBeans 7.4.  I haven’t tested it with NetBeans 8.0.

That was a butt load (a unit of wine measurement, not a vulgarity) of troubleshooting to get to the classic “Have you tried restarting your computer?”.

 ! Well we have all been there!

As far as I know – and I use a Mac and OSX – the problem with the tooltips and IE is limited to Windows 8.0. I rather thought it had been fixed in 8.1. I may have that wrong not being a Windows users and no doubt if I have Steve will pop by and correct me later.

Bad news on NetBeans. I have tried it and liked it mostly but have never tried copying code from it.
