I would like “Delete users and posts” added to the toolbox. It would save a few steps with spam does get through.

Interesting… do you mean the Toolbox admin Housekeeping panel or the forum tools available on the front end? And if the front end tools then what? For every post or just those identified by Akismet as possible spam (using the admin bar plugin which already has such an option)?
just to be clear… toolbox is on the admin side… forum – toolbox…
on the front end, there is the forum tools… thats the icon you get when hovering over forum or topic as admin/moderator… it opens a dialog… you can already delete posts or topics via the forum tools…
Yes, the Forum Toolset (menu that appears for topics and posts when you hover), is what I’m referring to – sorry if that wasn’t clear.
you can already delete posts or topics via the forum tools…
Yes, you can, but if the poster is a spammer, which is the most likely reason to delete posts in my experience, you then have to go to the WP or SP dashboard, click the members/users tab, search for the user, click delete, approve the warning message.
Adding “Delete User and all posts” to the toolset menu would would make it a 2 step process and keep you on the forum instead of in the admin panels.
FWIW, In the past 2 weeks I’ve had two spammers with each making multiple posts. Number caught by Akismet – 0. Number dealt with by me – 2.[UPDATE] Akismet – 0/ Me – 3 and still no easy way to delete the user.
Really? We have found Akismet pretty good so far.
I will note this request for future discussion
yes such a button already exists in the admin bar… which is quite essential imho for moderating forums… but as Andy says, its been added to the list…
Just to clear up this topic with an example…
Obvious SPAM post missed by Akismet:

Admin bar – SPAM not detected:

Admin bar options – can delete post, but can not delete user or user AND post:

Oh yes – I know what it looks like! And the request for this as a permanent forum tool is also on the list for future discussion.
But we can only go on what Akismet marks as spam…
