first of all: great work! Simple Press 5.0 Beta is really good and even now much better than the old. I haven’t noticed any issues or bugs yet, but I’ve some questions.
1. But when will the translations be available?
2. Is it possible to use the default skin from the old Simple Press 4.4?
3. How can I choose another editor? The “plain text editor” has insufficient functions. 😉

the translations will becoming soon… or at least availability of the files for translation…
skins from 4.4 will not work with 5.0… there are a dozen or two color variants of the default theme to get you started… and of course, you can do your own theme…
install the sp plugin editor of your choice… there is a quicktags html, quicktags bbcode and tinymce wysiwyg editor plugins…
We are very close to string freeze at which point we can build the base PO files. All being well and timer permitting I would expect the new V5 translation site to be up and running some time over the next week.
