I can access every other function in my user profile section, except for the “Edit Avatar” tab under “profile”. Every time I select the Edit Avatar tab, it just displays the spinning ‘loading’ circle endlessly.

Latest version – fully up to date. I have a caching plugin enabled, but the entire /forums/ directory has been added as an exception.
Every other function works on the Forums, except this.
ah, nvm… me going to your profile isnt going to work…. and I misread the message displayed…
so can you try again with your browser console open… and see what the server response to the ajax request is?
also,what is your settings for sp vs bp vs wp avatars? forum – profiles – profile options… and then if using our buddypress integration plugin, on forum – components – buddypress…
could you have set up an infinite loop of avatar reusage?
internal server error… great. dont usually give you much to go on… but worth checking the server error logs for more info?

sorry, actually need forum – profiles – avatars… interested in your avatar priorities… and whether you are replacing wp avatars with sp avatars… and then if using our buddypress integration plugin, are you replacing bp avatars with sp and vice versa..
thinking there might be an infinite loop of replacing going on….
So not replacing wp avatars with sp… And are using our buddy Press integration plugin? If so avatar settings there?

I am usin gthe BuddPress Plugin, Avatar settings there are set to use the SP avatar for both.
How do I check the server log?
Just wanted to check back in and say that I disabled all WP plugins and the issue is still present.
okay, thanks… doubt its a conflict with another plugin…
unfortunately, php error log varies from server to server and host to host so hard to tell you where to look… I keep all mine the document root directory…
for grins, what happens if you switch the sp/bp avatar option? or even if you disable our buddypress integration plugin…
