I tried to install simple press on Multisite at URL http://coupondelhi.in/forums. After installation when I hit “Go to Forum Admin” button I got the following error.
“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
After that I found Simplepress was not installed as I had install option once again. So, I tried to install again, but I got same result.
WordPress Version is 4.4.2

what was displayed when you installed? did you get errors or success messages with links to the forum?
with your browser console open (see https://simple-press.com/documentation/codex/faq/how-to/how-to-use-your-web-browser-console/) what kind of xmlhttp responses were returned?
It seems to have missed phase 10 – although I can not immediately think why that would be.
Could you take a look at the plugin install folders in the server? If so…
No, the folders the folders ‘forum-themes’, ‘forum-plugins’ and ‘forum-language’ aren’t inside ‘wp-content/sp-resources’. They are inside ‘wp-content/uploads/sp-resources’. However other folders related to SP are inside ‘wp-content/sp-resources’.
‘forum-themes’, ‘forum-plugins’ and ‘forum-language’ should all be in wp-content > sp-resources, there should be no sp-resources folder in ‘uploads’.
These folders were created automatically.
I moved all these folders (‘forum-themes’, ‘forum-plugins’ and ‘forum-language’) to ‘wp-content/sp-resources’. Now installation was successful, but there wasn’t any theme in “available themes”. Also URL on which forum page loads is not expected. It is http://coupondelhi.in/forums/forum-5/
Strange, I guess the first thing to check is the contents of the forum-themes folder.. Not sure you’d have anything in forum-plugins or forum-language unless you’ve purchased any plugins and or installed language files.
If there isn’t anything there, could you download the new default install theme Barebones and either install it through Forum > Themes > Theme Uploader, or unzip it and FTP it up to the wp-content > sp-resources > forum themes folder, and see if that works OK?
I tried to install reboot theme (I purchased), but what I got was blank screen after hitting upload button.
I am still wondering if we just have folder/file permission issues here. Is it possible that your server is not letting SP create the folders and files it needs?

No, absolutely not. But I have something to add. I tried to install ” Simple:Press | Version 5.6.1” on another domain on Multisite subdirectory today and fortunately everything was smooth except theme is broken. URL: http://coupondelhi.com/forums/forum/
You can take a look and if you need I can share wp-admin credentials for both site.
My goal is to install SimplePress on http://coupondelhi.in/forums and update permalinks.
Permission is set to 755 as can be seen in screenshot.
