I noticed with the recent version the ‘Unread and recently updated topics’ list has appeared at the bottom of the page in group view. In V4.4.5 I can turn this off in the dashboard but can’t find it now. I ultimately probably won’t use this and prefer the drop downs so how can I switch it off?

As always – it’s a theme issue. Just remove the function call. You should be able to see which it is is easily enough.

No worries. You’re missing any documentation and all this is new. I sometimes I have to think myself — ‘now where did I put that in the code’!
In your SP theme folder is a sub-folder named ‘templates’. They are named to reflect the page view being used. So you want the GroupView template and you will see the call in there for the recent posts list.
