Update error to latest wp4.0 version

Hi all,

I have a multisite install and am testing on our test site for conflicts.

I found that under the sub site containing the forum it was showing an upgrade was required however under Network plugins the update wasn’t showing as an option

The red box showed I needed to upgrade to wp4.0 I have done this but still get the same issue. To try and resolve I have deactivated nearly every plugin and the update still isn’t showing on the Network plugin or update page which the system navigates you to when clicking update on the subsite plugin page>update.

 

I can’t seem to get the plugin to update at all. I did have an issue with the last update as well but managed to get to work as it was due to a plugin conflict but not sure if it is a lingering conflict or poor previous install.

I found that eventually I have been given the option, I have deactivated the forum on the subsite, disabled every plugin even a couple of themes and then had to activate the plugin under Network Admin area,  this then allowed the update to show in the Network Admin update page like it did in the subsite plugin page.

I think the conclusion is the update is recognized if it is activated network wide and running on the main site but if it is disabled network wide and only activated on a subsite the upgrade doesn’t show.
