Hi, I’m on WordPress 3.3.1 and was running 4.4.5.
I followed the upgrade steps to move to 5, making sure to deactivate and then delete the old plug in and when I clicked to upgrade, I was shown these results:
Upgrade Aborted
6398
6624
success
I’d spotted that another user gained success on your recommendation of going from 4.4.5 to 4.5.1 first and deleted 5 before putting 4.4.5 into the plug-ins folder via ftp.
In my wordpress dashboard, it appears that this was successful as I can see the forum plug in and navigate around the options, but when I view the forum from the front end I get error messages shown above the header. You can see these if you visit the website fingerpickingguitar.org but I’ve uploaded an attachment screenshot for ease.
I’ve checked with the hosting company and I do have the drop/create privilege that you’ve flagged is sometimes an issue.
I’d just like to check, should I be focusing on getting 4.5.1 sorted before I upgrade onto 5, or can I ignore these errors shown in the front end and push on with the upgrade? Thanks in advance!
Thanks
