All of a sudden users aren’t able to login to the forum. They are able to login to my site through the s2member plugin, but when they go to the forum page, it displays as if they need to login again. Once they try to login through the forum, it takes them back the forum home page and displays again as if they need to login again.

It seems it was a conflict with W3 Total Cache plugin. I have uninstalled the plugin and everything is fine now.
not a conflict as much as that plugin assumes wp pages are static, which for simple press, is completely incorrect…
you can use w3 total cache, you just need to tell it to not cache the wp page the forum is on… for all types of caching it supports…
