I’ve had your Forum software installed a couple of years. One of my website visitors has just sent me a message saying that they cannot register. I’ve checked the page http://www.electricsense.com/forum/, users are given the possibility to log in but not to register. What must i do?
I’m using version 5.5 of the SP plugin.

Might sound kind of obvious, but a good place to start. Can you go to your WordPress admin page, and on the tabs on the left, underneath ‘Forum’ you have the WordPress options.
Can you click on Settings > General, and make sure that ‘Membership – Anyone can register’ is ticked

I went to Settings > General, and changed to ‘Membership – Anyone can register’ but when I ‘Save’ the page the that reloads does not have the ‘Membership – Anyone can register’, ticked I’ve tried this several times and each time it reloads its unticked. Perhaps I’m looking at the wrong page? screenshot attached.

Please ignore my previous question. Issue resolved – I changed OptimizeMember to allow free registration.
