Is there a way or plugin that would make it possible to scroll through pictures that are attached to a post when they are clicked on and enlarged? This option would be much easier rather than having to close out each picture and open another one to view it. We have the thumbnails enabled and I know you can make them bigger but is it possible to have the above mentioned option?

Some users have actually used a WP plugin that basically performs the same lightbox style popup that includes scrolling through them all. They have then turned off our built in enlargement. The difference is that these tend to 'scrape' all the images on the page - not just a single forum post. But it can work. Sorry though - can't remember which plugins have been used.

to Andy's point... if you post a gallery shortcode (and are allowing the shortcode) in your post, you will have a standard wp gallery... if you have another plugin that does slideshows on galleries, it likely still works in the forum...
little more complex if each one is just a distinct image...
