Another strange thing in the new version: I manually added a user to a usergroup in the backend of SP forum. after saving the changes my WP admin bar was completely gone away. I needed to click on the dashboard link (potentially any other link would have worked as well) and the bar was there again.
Seems to me SP forum has some conflicts with basic WP stuff.
Again an issue that didn´t exist in version 4.5.1
I would concede a strong likelihood of SP having conflicts with other plugins. After all there are thousands of them and we can test with only a small handful. To a certain, but far lesser extent, the same might be true of themes.
But core WordPress is a constant and I would only concede a conflict with ‘basic WP stuff’ here if you were not the only one who was reporting it. If there is a bug there then it would crop up with more than just one user and if we get other such reports then I will admit to the possibility. But I suspect that there may be other factors at work here.
Later today I will try with all plugins deactivated. Let´s see what happens. I´ll report
I deactivated all Plugins and checked for issues. At the end I found out that Jigoshop appears to be the “bad guy”.
Curious. And even more so with WP 3.3 as the ‘admin bar’ is no longer a bolt-on but is the main admin header.
By the way – just had a second person with their title at the bottom which was a coincidence as it was immediately after answering your last post on this subject. I have asked them about their Wp theme as well.
I think we had a jigoshop issue before, but might be confusing with an ecommerce plugin, that was having issues because they were hard loading a jquery version that conflicted with the version shipped with wp…
