Quick question, I hope.

Is XMLRPC required for any core forum or plugin functionality? e.g; for subscriptions, notifications, feeds, template tags, etc.?

After the recent recurrence of another exploit in the WordPress pingback function being used for DDOS attacks, I have activated a plugin to Remove XMLRPC Pingback Pings across our network.

Everything still seems to be working fine, but I’m trying to determine if anything in particular may be affected.
