This is not conclusive and final yet, but as of this AM (Wash DC time), it looks like the problems have gone away but some issues remain (maybe just with me).

Before, your main site loaded, but accessing the forum often caused a hang just after the header displayed.

just little odds and ends… but we have found a nasty little bug our latest sp that was contributing significantly… odd no one else has seen it or us before, but have band aided it here and solved the last issues… need to get a real fix in place and committed…

So, I just need to know one thing… were any of the hosting or db issues related to the SPF upgrade? confused

I would also be interested in hearing about your recommended optimal db config for smooth SPF sailing.

sp upgrade?? not the upgrade process… but in moving hosts we did find a significant bug that has been fixed in the new version pushed out this evening… wont affect the vast majority of users, but it could overload your mysql server in just the right circumstance…

Jim, are you running 5.0? its a huge performance increase over the 4.4.x version..

Not yet, just needed that question answered! smile

Plan to update our dev install to 3.3 and do that now. Looking forward to seeing those improvements.
