no, afraid not… there is an sp buddypress plugin that adds lots of features and integration (notices, activity, avatars, etc), but use of groups is not part of it…

I even need this feature because it is a core strategie on my Community page.

User Should be ableto create their own Groups with a (private) Forum

I dont like this bbpress cripple. And I like to move away fron this.

For me this is the Simple:Press show stopper! :-( So sad….

Time to turn Simple:Press into a social community portal with 100% Buddypress integration!

its something being considered for future (further buddypress integration)… but for now, simple press is a forum app, not a social portal…  but one never knows what the future holds…

I do not want you to make Simple:Press a social Portal or something…. There is a long way to go for such, and the competitors like Vanilla Forums are already on that way.

I want you to make the best (Wordpres / Buddypress) Forum on Earth. That is your expertise. ;-)

I do not want to dictate your road map. But I think, although bbpress is very ugly kid, it is your biggest competitor. Because bbpress is high integrated with the other Automattic products. So if you can offer the same level of integration, I think people will always prefer Simple:Press. So If I walk in your shoe I would make the Buddypress plugin a core Feature of the Free Simple:Press version.

With that, I think, Simple:Press will always beat bbpress.
