Just curious if there was a way of integrating Amazon S3 storage into Simple:Press? I would find it particularly useful to do this with the users upload folders.
I have no idea how Amazon S3 works… can you you symlink a unix directory to it? we just need a directory under wp-content….
I’m still sort of learning it myself. Basically you set up a ‘bucket’ on their server inside which you can upload folders or files for storage. Linking the two might not be something that can be achieved easily though.
I might be able to find something that will allow me to move the entire WP-CONTENT folder to S3, but that will take some digging.
it doesnt need to be the entire wp-content directory… though that might work too… its just that our storage locations need to some relative path off of wp-content…
