Is there a way, while using the Blog Post Linking plugin, to have the post generated under a bot user – rather than the admin who wrote the post?
e.g.:
Rob writes the post, Rob is a forum admin.
Now, the cross post is authored by Rob in the forum, I’d like all the cross posts to be written by forum user “Forum Bot”
I don’t believe there is a hook or filter for that.
If you don’t care who it shows on the blog itself as the author you could create a user named Forum Bot that has editor or higher blog access and post as the bot or change the post author to Forum Bot.
Ah, ok.
It’s not that big of a deal, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.
There may possibly be a WordPress plugin that would do what you want – allow you to create blog posts as a different user.
