Hello – I’ve got the Blog Linking plugin enabled.  I have set it to allow pages to be linked to the forums.  I’ve created a page and enabled linking to a particular forum and it generates the post in the forum like one would expect.

However, I don’t want future updates or changes to the linked page to cause updates in the forum.

There is a checkbox on the page editor that says “Update forum topic with subsequent edits”, which defaults to checked.  I uncheck it and update the page, but it re-checks the box and future changes to the page update the forum post it initially created.

Was this featured design so that one did have the choice of unchecking the box and prevent future page updates from updating the forum post?  That is what it seems like it should be able to do, otherwise there would be no reason to provide a checkbox.
