Blog Plugin Error

I’ve installed the blog linking plugin. I can’t for the life of me see where you tell the plugin where the blog you want to link to is! I can’t in fact see any simple instructions for any of the plugins so I’m left to figure it out for myself.

It is showing this error at the moment.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function spa_paint_close_container() in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/problem-with-post-edit-buttonowtonet/public_html/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/blog-linking/admin/spa-components-linking-form.php on line 77

Same with the private messaging plugin. Installed but can’t see where you can send messages to another member.

regards

dont have to look any further than the Codex:  https://simple-press.com/documentation/codex/plugins/our-plugins/available-plugins/blog-linking/

with that error, seems like perhaps you have upgraded to the latest blog linking plugin version but are using an old SP version… do you have version 5.5?

on the pm plugin, have you given users permission to use the pm system?  see the Codex:  https://simple-press.com/documentation/codex/plugins/our-plugins/available-plugins/private-messaging/

Thanks,

I still can’t see where I put in the url of the blog I want to link to in order for the posts to be created when I add a blog post. I can’t say it’s particularly user friendly. Vidoes would really help showing us how to set it up.

Regards

not sure I follow what you are trying to do… perhaps I need to explain what the blog linking plugin is…

first, see:  https://simple-press.com/documentation/codex/plugins/our-plugins/available-plugins/blog-linking/

the plugin lets you create a wp blog post and then have a corresponding topic in the forum create… or vice versa (new topic in forum creates a wp blog post)…  both the blog post and linked topic occur in the same site…  you can also do things like have the forum serve the comments or they too can be linked…

so when creating the topic in the forum, open up the options area and fill out the category for the blog post to be created…

hopefully, that helps…
