The reason I was hoping that the sequencing change might help was because you said that it did sometimes work. that would tally with both plugins using 10 which means it is luck of the draw which one gets called first. So let’s try the sequence the other way around just in case.
If that does not do it then i guess the next thing would be t look for any errors. Open the toolbox > error log and clear it out (button at bottom). Run a blog link operation and then look at the log. Were there any errors or – possibly – warnings? Notices are seriously unlikely to have any negative effect.
I cleared the error log and tested, and it didn’t work. I had changed the priority to 7 earlier today. The error log shows no errors at all.
I’m going to head over to my test site and deactivate SNAP and see if it makes a difference. I want to make sure that’s the problem.
Hold the phone; it worked. It didn’t show up right away, but it eventually showed up. I’ll keep testing.

did you schedule the wp post? or do you have any caching on your wp pages?
Perhaps a better question is what, exactly, does ‘Sucuri web proxy with caching’ do? If it caches HTML page images then you will have to expect forum posts, new topics, etc., to be delayed by the timeout period set for the cache. Most confusing for your users. The firm pages really do need to be excluded.
But I do not know what Sucuri caching gives you…
It still didn’t work. A new post was auto-published two hours ago and the forum topic wasn’t created. I had to edit and re-save to get it to post.
I need to ask. Are you able to set up a test with this suspected plugin deactivated?
And do we know why it was that you believed the last one had failed but it turned up at some point later? are we sure this one is not going to do that as well?
On my test site, I deactivated the SNAP plugin and I’m not seeing any of the same behavior. As for the question on the other one showing up delayed, that didn’t happen this time. The delayed post was only a few minutes; two hours passed and the forum topic wasn’t created, and in the post list it didn’t show that it was linked to a forum. After I edited and saved the post, it then created the forum topic and showed the link in the post list.
I checked the error log and it threw an error when I forced the forum post creation by editing and saving the post. This is the error:
