Downloading latest plugin versions

Good morning.

I’ve just uploaded into Simple:Press the plugins purchased a couple of days ago. One of them, Profile Display Control, informed me that there’s an update from the 1.0.5 which was downloaded.

I’ve gone to my account and downloaded again, but looking at the contents of the -plugin.php file, it shows as v 1.0.5 still.

How do I download the 1.0.6 version?

It’s a pity the file names don’t include the version numbers, as this would help with tracking the files (I always download WP plugins before installing them or their updates for flexibility and roll-back).

Thanks, david

Mmmm apologies. Something out of sync there. An odd one. I will talk to the colleague who looks after the downloads to ensure I have corrected things properly but you should be good to upgrade now,

I believe changing filenames for each update might be a bit of a nightmare to manage – but I will ask.

By the way – if you had updated the plugin through the normal route of the WP Updater (Dashboard menu) then you would have been updated automatically to 1.0.6. This is the preferred way to perform updates.
