I am able to upload JPG files at certain times, but not always. I have set the file size limit to 2097152 which is 2 Mb. It seems I can upload a 233Kb file, but when I tried a larger 450 kb file with larger dimensions it fails.
I have set the width & height limits to 0.
I am also unable to upload media files. I always get error 105.

The 105 error refers to invalid file type not the size of the file.
Are you trying to upload a file type not set in the available allowed types on the uploader admin panel. If it is relevat they are case sensitive.
Ahh! Case sensativity was the issue. Can I simply add the upper & lower case extensions to the list?

I added the upper case to the list & it worked…
1 additional question regarding the thumbnail expansion.. How do I properly limit the maximum size of the expanded files? I found a couple places that look like they would specify this behavior, but I have not been able to successfully limit the display size for larger files.

Well the max and min size will make sure they do not expand above that but that does limit the size of the final image. Coming in V5.1 we have made this more rugged to ensure the popup display doesn’t expand beyond the screen size. So that will be with you soon.
