Ah sorry – did I miss that before about the focus? So what about the Add files link – does that get focus? Or are you dragging files in?

if you get no focus on the start upload link and can’t actually trigger the uploads then clearly we need to look at other things…

which runtime is this?  hover over the graphic to the left of select files and it will tell you…

also, does this happen in all browsers?

have you checked your error log for any more info?

probably need to see this ourselves…  can you pm Mr Papa and Yellow Swordfish a temp account so we can try and see what info we can gather?  be sure to copy both and link back to this topic so we know what it is about…

Hi,

I tried to set-up the uploader but it did not function accordingly. Kindly see attachment. Everytime I try to upload, it shows IMAGE UPLOAD CONSTRAINTS.

Let me know what to do.

Image upload constraints?? I don’t believe that is a message of ours. Strange.. Any js conflicts in console? Maybe try deactivating other plugins to check for conflict?

Steven, A couple things to check.

First check the settings for the file uploader in Forum > Admin > File Uploader – Settings and make sure all allowed file types, upload size max and things like that are setup.

Then check your settings for uploading personal photos. Forum Admin > Profiles – Profile Options > Personal Photos. Make sure you have entries for how many and what size.

Hi Brandon,

I did check the settings. Can you check the site?

I don’t see anything obvious in your attached pics.  I would be glad to look at your site but may need you to setup a test user so can see the profile page itself.

If you want to set one up then send a PM to me, Mr. Papa and Yellow Swordfish with the credentials and also a link back to this post so they know what we are talking about. With everyone’s current schedule it may take a day or two to get back to you but be assured someone will.

So all is good now? I am going to disregard the PM you sent me about it unless I hear back different from you.

I have created a temp accont for you

the problem comes from the template.
When I choose the wordpress base template (twenty eleven), it works.

What can be the problem with the template (name:base theme)?

it basically looks to me like the ‘start upload’ button is simply not being enabled. Why this should be is not clear but I will trawl the code to see if anything is obvious. This may be difficult as it is not our code of course but I will see if I can find anything.

I will also ask Mr Papa who knows this plugin better than I, if he has any ideas why this might be.

well, I tried a file upload and it worked great… but looks like you still have twentyeleven running which you said works… so cannot add much currently…

but sounds like a js conflict from the other wp theme…  worth reading:  http://codex.simple-press.com/codex/faq/troubleshooting/what-is-this-jquery-conflict/

Steve: When I looked at the site earlier in the day and it was running the correct theme I could see no apparent conflicts and no errors were reported. It’s as if the ‘Start Uploads’ button just remains disabled.
