There is no link either on top of bottom of the blog page even though a topic was created successfully in the forum. The topic links back to the original blog page with no problems.

Actually – you also do not have the option turned on to use blog linking in posts either come to that.
I only want the blog linking to happen on pages and NOT post.
That is why I set “Use linking on post type: post” to “No” but notice that I did set “Use linking on post type: page” to be true.
I assume “Create blog post to topic link automatically” means a link will be automatically created every time a blog post/page is created; which is not what I want. I want to a link created only for selected blog page that is why I uncheck that selection. Did I misread this setting?

It means the link will be displayed for any linked post/page. if you do not want to show the link on some linked pages but do want to show it on others then the links would have to be created manually.
I see. Okay. this time, I did put “Create blog post to topic link automatically” to true but it doesn’t show up in the linked blog post/page.
