Support Forum
They were quite right, it is not the theme.
At least it is not the theme mis-loading jQuery
this is what is said buy tech support on the pagelines forum:
Right, the plugin has a conflict with bootstrap.js. Our framework uses it for basically everything
well – this is the first theme I have encountered personally using bootstrap.js. If a lot of themes are using it then it clearly has not caused any problems to date and as far as I can see from having just installed it on my local test system I am getting no conflicts with it whatsoever.Maybe they would be willing to elaborate…?
But this doesn’t actually have any bearing on the google/jquery issue which IS a known conflict.
So what is your advice? Wait til an update from wordpress comes out or try other forum software?
Can you maybe advice a plugin that doesnt use plopload? For example uploading u custom avatar went flawless
first step is to try to get rid of the jquery error… did you pass Andy’s query along to the devs for more info on the supposed conflict? I too can install bootstrap and have no conflicts…
Guys,
I`m thrilled! I found a solution to my major problem! What did I do? Well, didn`t do anything with the Jquery as I don`t know any code whatsoever. BUT I installed a plugin called “multiple themes plugin” which allows me to run a theme for each individual page. So I run another theme for my forum page… Now the plopload totally works!!! Ok this may not be the ultimate solution but I`m happy and wanted to share this with you guys.
Have a great day!
cool… will have to remember that… there is a plugin manager plugin too that does similar things only enabling plugins on certain pages so you can account for misbehaving plugins…
i have exectly the same problem with a pagelines theme. When i use that multiple themes plugin it works, but i actually don’t want to use it, now it looks ugly…
So do you have the dame jQuery conflict as discussed above? And if so – and I assume that is the case – are you able to find out what from and where it is being loaded?
