Is there a way to tag people?

Hi, 

Is there a plugin that lets you tag people or @ people in posts, so that they will automatically be notified that they’ve been mentioned? 

I’d find this very helpful.

afraid we dont have anything like this…  how would they be notified??? an email?  a private message?  you could just use the private message system if you want to contact someone…
