Is there more documentation for plugins??

Hey all,

 

Okay, there may be some dumb questions ahead… you have been warned. ;)

 

I’ve downloaded some SP plugins and installed a few, and I think they’ve installed correctly. But I’m trying to find out more info and documentation, because I have a feeling that there will be a lot I don’t understand. WP has this for all the WP plugins (a documentation page), so do the SP plugins have that kind of thing too?

 

Here’s an example of what I mean:

The Admin Bar helps to manage the administrators postbag of new forum posts and posts awaiting moderation. It also adds optional Akismet support to help identify and quickly deal with spam posts. The Using Plugins page describes how you obtain and …

 

Wait. What? What am I supposed to obtain, and what happens then??

 

But when I go to the plugins page itself, here’s what it says:

 

Admin Bar – Post Control

Helps admins and moderators manage the new forum posts all in one place – allowing for instant deletion or approval as well as offering a Quick Reply feature. This plugin also optionally adds Akismet support to help detect and deal with spam

 

It’s like the original sentence was never finished. Is there anyplace I can go to find more documentation of each plugin??

no worries… ask away…

using plugins page explains how to get (ie download page) and install plugins…  no specific on any particular plugin… general info…

sorry, but you are going to have to be more specific on what you would like to know if the base page is not enough…

some plugins, just do there thing… other have many more options and configurable options…  and well, some could perhaps use a bit more details…

the admin bar adds a new ‘bar’ to the forum header with controls and options for dealing with unread posts, moderated posts, and posts marked as spam…

again, mileage varies… we try to provide use info, but of course, we have detailed knowledge…but feel free to ask any questions..

Thanks… believe me, I WILL have questions later on, once all of the plugins are installed and I start trying to actually use them.
