Hello,

I can’t figure how to edit a topic made with this plugin, only found the way to edit the title – is there a solution please ?

And it would be very useful to have an option for the link to open in a new window, but maybe i did something wrong here too ^^ ?

Thanks in advance

  1. Click on Add Topic to open the editor
  2. Click on the ‘Options’ button below the editor
  3. Click on ‘Create a Topic Redirect’
  4. Follow the instructions!
  5. Note you are entering the redirect URL (and ONLY the url) in the text editor. So if you want to include a target parameter then you can do so. But I believe the url this should also be filtered by the setting you have in the Options > Content Settings where you can set a new window/tab for all urls in posts.

Does that cover what you need?

Thank you Yellow Swordfish.

I already got the setting in my options, it’s working fine for a regular topic, but not for a redirected one.

And i don’t understand how/where to add a target parameter  – i tried to write target=”_blank” everywhere but it’s always the same 🙁

Sorry – I was being stupid. Of course you can’t set a target. As far as I am aware there is no way to set a target in a redirected URL which is what this is. Otherwise it would just be an ordinary link which then would not redirect automatically. And that, of course, would just make it an ordinary forum post.

Sorry – I should have been concentrating better on my first answer
