I just upgraded to SP5 and have been trying to install 5 plugins: Blog Linking, Private Messaging, Subscriptions, Online and Media Upload. I have tried uploading them to /wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins but Filezilla keeps saying critical transfer error. I tried uploading them somewhere else I thought would work and they uploaded just fine but I still cannot get them in the right folder. Any help please?

as this thread says, check the owner of sp-resources... some php setups create the directory with the wrong user... then the web user or ftp user cannot access...

if you dont know how to check the owner of the the sp-resources directory, check with your host...
