I guess the first thing we should do is simply check that the icon is really there on your server.

If you load the compose form in the Chrome simulator and use the browser console – if you then select the element where the save button should be are you seeing any evidence that the button is trying to be displayed?

Actually – does not the console inform you (under ‘info’ or ‘warnings’ perhaps – if the call for the icon is getting a 404?

There’s also this when I’m hovering over the button code in inspector:

There don’t appear to be any warnings or errors in the chrome inspector.

Could it be just a case of missing icon file? if so, how can I check please?

This looks like it might be quite old code… Can you tell me please what versions of the SP core, the PM plugin and the Reboot theme you are using…?

That’s weird, this is pretty much a brand new installation all downloaded within the last month or so. Here are the version numbers:

SP plugin is Version 5.7.4

Private messaging Version 2.4.4

The theme is Barebones 1.0.6

Maybe I should try one of the premium themes?

Let me take a look with Barebones and see what I can find.

Wow! Looks like this icon was completely missed out and how that happened I really can not begin to fathom.

i can work that this evening – rebuild the font glyph file to include this. I can send you the files if you are in a hurry but we will get an update out ASAP in any case.
