I upgraded SP to 5.5 and installed the Post by email plugin. Got all the email accounts set up, set each forum permission to allow create topic and reply, and was able to connect to mailboxes, but when I tried to create a new topic by sending email, it’s not working.
Any help is appreciated
Can you explain what “it’s not working” Means? Have you checked the post by email log in the forum admin to see what is reported?
All the log has was the error about unable to connect to mailbox – which I already fixed because when I test server connection, I got connection successful message. I even ran the cron job manually, but I still don’t see my post on the forum
So you ran the cron task (from the forum toolbox?) manually and it did not create a log entry? Is that what you are saying?
