Post Status Plug-In: How to Edit the Status of an Existing Post?

For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to edit the Status of an existing post.

I’ve added the Post Status Plug-In

I’ve created a Status Group

I’ve assigned a status Group to an existing Forum.

I’ve created new posts in that Forum, and can see where you assign a Status.

But…

I can’t find a way to change the status of a previously created post. Even one that was created after I did all the above.

I.E. I can set the status to “High” (one of my Status options) when I create the post, but I can’t figure out how to later change the Status to “Medium” (another Status option)

Can it be done?

I take it you mean ‘topic status’? Correct?

There are two ways currently (and I have a ticket to add to this at some stage – probably 5.1).

The first is when you make a new post to a topic the topic status list should be available in the options above the save button. Remember this is a topic level status not a post level status.

The second is in the Forum View (i.e., list of topics within a forum). When the topic with the status you wish to change is displayed in the list, hover the mouse cursor in the row of tjhat topic and a little icon should appear over on the left hand side. This is the forum toolbox – click on it and one of the options in there is topic status change.

Ah, that did it.

Thanks so much.

Is there any way to sort a Forum by Topic Status?

Er… no. Not easily.
But that is the second odd sorting request we have had lately so perhaps we should consider putting a filter on the sort… I will look into it…
