Do you mean you do not see the widget inboxed the widget set top admin page? Or you do not see the result of the widget on the website page?

I don’t see the result on the page. In the admin area, the widget is there with the same settings.

are you sure you used the widget?  vice a text widget with our shortcode or template tag?  asking because the latter may have been affected by change in wp 4.8 where they dorked with html in widgets…

if yes, perhaps try deactivating the simple press plugin (dont delete or uninstall) and then reactivating…  I am unable to replicate this currently…

It’s the widget. It appears, there is the title at the top as set up in the widgets admin area, but it’s totally empty. No posts, no avatars, nothing…

Is everything to to date? That’s the template tags plugin AND the core SP?

It was my fault boys! I had the plugin Maintenance Mode on, as I was doing a few modifications. I switched it off and the widget came back!

Sorry about this, I didn’t know about that function in Maintenance Mode…

ah, good news!   we’ve all been there!  thanks for the update…
