I am still not sure how you are getting a twitter box that looks like that… its not the standard one… and is typically converted to a sharethis url…  have you set an special options on our sharethis options panel?

I get the error by enabling the individual Social Icons.

Once enabled.  Clicking on Twitter gives you that weird URL.

I understand all that.. my point was I dont get the same behavior…  popup doesnt look like that… url doesnt look like that… its a sharethis shortened url… 

hence why I asked for the options on forum – components – share this… the top section…

so the only difference is mine has use minor services options in popup checked, but that just affects the share this green button popup…

so a bit puzzled how you are seeing what you do…

might have asked this before, but are you using the wp share this plugin in addition to ours?

Yes, I am using the sharing options available on Jetpack.   Let me disable it and see if that helps.

aw, that could be why the popup is different… please do share your findings…  thanks..

I disabled jetpack sharing and the twitter button on the forum now works fine.

I re-enabled jetpack sharing and everything seems to be working fine now?  I guess messing with it fixed something?

JetPack is a very worrying and often troublesome plugin.

Eh….  The ugly URL came back.  Had to switch back to the green share this button for now until there is a fix.

JetPack again? As I said – it intrudes everywhere and can stomp all over other plugins. And there is nothing we can do about it sadly.

and currently nothing to fix…  only report and we cannot duplicate any of the behavior including the popup  you see…  hence the digging for more info…
