In the email digests, any links within the post content does not appear. Instead of the link, it says ** you don’t have permission to see this link **.
If I am subscribed to the forum and receive emails everytime someone posts (so live, not digest), these links appear just fine in the email.
I have recreated this with several users so it is not something that is happening on the email client end.
Do you have any idea what might cause this?

No, not really… we have multiple clients that send hundreds of thousands of email digests and they have not reported this error – and they make extensive use of links in emails… nor has anyone else reported it…
so lets dig in a bit deeper…
are you using any kind of permission on links? ie can create links or can view links? for any usergroups?
are you limiting the number of links on forum – options – content settings?
we will try to do some research here as well…
