Seem like after updating SP to latest version, updating database, and then updating tiny MCE plugin, the editor wondow is messed up.

When i checked the options screen for the tiny MCE plugin, it looked like this.

Any idea on what to do or a possible fix? maybe re-enter the values in the config?

thanks for the info.  a bit concerting though that 3 folks had this issue updating tinymce…  we will have to do some research…

can you tell us what version of tinymce you upgraded from?

I am having an issue where several users cannot see the Tiny MCE toolbar even though they have enabled it in their profile.

But strangely I cannot replicate the issue both as admin an as regular user I am seeing the toolbar just fine.

Any ideas? I am using the most recent plugin and forum version and text inside TinyMCE Toolbars and Plugins looks fine.

is it browser specific?  and any unique addons to their browser?

are any js errors thrown for them?

It is IE only. And I also see it there. I have tracked the issue down to a plugin called Add Link to Facebook and a paid plugin called Visual Composer

When one of these are activated it seems to cause this problem on TinyMCE in Simple Press in IE only.

So I guess I must contact the developers of those plugins now.

WP Plugins can do great things but really it is a lot of work keeping everything running when they cause problems somewhere else and not in all browsers.cry

Is it an old version? Some older plugins sometimes try and do something to ‘fix’ older IE incompatibilities. These may not be relevant anymore. Just a thought.
