TinyMCE Editor yields blank edit box when editing post

I activaed TinyMCE in SP.  After doing so, and selecting TinyMCE as editor under Global Options, when I attempt to edit a post, the editor box is completely blank.  No buttons, not original post text, nothing!  Any ideas?

Thank you for your reply.  After reading about possible conflicts with other plugins, I looked at all my active plugins and none jumped out at me except for Visual Website Editor Version 1.3.1 by Tidio Ltd. (which I suspected might be the problem because it enhances the WP text editor)  I deactivated that one and checked my SP post editor but still, no luck!  So I proceeded to do a bulk deactivation of all my plugins except for SP.  Lo and behold, the SP post editor page was looking good, with all the buttons, etc.  So I activated my plugins one at a time, checking SP post editor after each re-activation.  I found the culprit.  One of my plugins was Contact Form Free Version 1.6.4 by Web-Dorado.  It is their most recent update, but was in fact the cause of my problem.     I guess I need to find myself another contact form plugin! Do you have any suggestions?smile

WordPress 3,9 updated the built in TinyMCE editor from the old version 3 to version 4 – and it is very different. It means that ANY plugin that used TinyMCE or added content to it needed to be updated as well or it would fail.

So – is it possible that the plugin you refer to just needs to be updated? Or conversely – have the authors perhaps failed to update it?
