did you try temp switch to default WP theme?
and a link new we can look for issues or conflicts.
ok, i tested with default theme, and its working, what i need to do ?
forum link is: http://www.gamesvip.net/forums/
The question is – does your WP theme add any components to the tinyMCE editor defaults that come with WordPress. any special buttons or functions on the blog post editing toolbar?
this is the theme link:
http://themeforest.net/item/gameleon-wordpress-arcade-theme/3271091
because i dont really know, but all feature is here.
I have no realistic way of really telling from that.
I think the easiest way forward would be for you to create me an account so that I can log into the site and see this for myself. An account that will allow me to get to the editor.
Please PM credentials to both myself and to ‘Mr Papa’. Please include in the PM a link to your site, a link to this thread and brief reminder of the problem. And one of us will take a look for you.
DONE.
All access details was send to both of you, I hope it will be fixed soon.
Best regards for the support.
Sharon.
Ok – it is going to be best to bring this back to the forum.
At the moment your entire forums are locked – this is what it says at the top. This ius probably because you have locked them in the forum admin > Options > Global Settings
DONE!
Now its not read only, can u guys please fix the TinyMCE for me?
I gave u all the login details… THANKS!!
You have a few problems there made more difficult by the huge number of script files being loaded and by your ‘chat’ plugin which seems to run continuously on the forum page even though I couldn’t see where it was actually being used. Or it might be that bar thing down the bottom…
Anyway – first problem is that a plugin is improperly loading the main jQuery library (lighbox) insread iof using the correct version supplied with WordPress. See this codex article which explains what this means and what to look for: http://codex.simple-press.com/codex/faq/troubleshooting/what-is-this-jquery-conflict/
The second immediate problem is that your WP theme IS adding extra components to the tinyMCE editor which are unwanted. My guess is that the theme authors assume the editor will only be used to write blog posts and pages whereas WP allows the editor to be used elsewhere such as in SP. It is probably best to ask the theme authors for the best method to avoid their components being loaded on the front end of the site.
I removed both the chat & lightbox..
I need to change the theme too ? :O
OR.. what should I ask the theme author ?
do you realize the forum content is displayed twice too??
go to forum – integration – page and permalink and try tweaking the display options, namely display in loop and display multiple…
dont think that will help tinymce but should be resolved first…
FIXED.
What I need to fix in the theme now ? or WHAT should I ask the author?
