I’m not sure why you can’t update them so that’s another matter.. But to get you sorted you can still download the plugins as you are a gold member. Try going all the way through the checkout process – After you’ve added them and go to checkout you should see a 100% Gold Member Discount applied.

Before you do, what version of each are you trying to update from?

I didn’t know about the gold membership thing, thank you so much for letting me know.

I don’t know what’s wrong with the plugins, it happens with all of them, all the time. Exact same problem, it says the plugin is already updated.

The versions are File uploader 4.1.3 and Template Tags and Widgets 1.4.6

It happened before – pretty much all the time – with every SP plugin.

Very strange…

And there is something else that is happening…

An image loaded in a post with plupload is perfectly visible in Chrome, but it cannot be seen at all in Firefox, iPhone and iPad…

It has to be some sort of environmental issue – quite possibly a server setting of some sort. First question – is the main core SP up to date – now 5.5.10 ?

As to the images – can you link me to a page where this is happening?

On the plugin update issue let’s bring @mr-papa in… Steve – any ideas why plugins needing updating in the WP update panel would respond with a message saying they are already updated to their latest version? In this case (see above) File Uploader and Template Tags – both of which show older versions.

On the missing image question – I DO see that page you linked to – but I don’t see any evidence of an image using any browser…? Curious why all the posts have the same content. Are they supposed to?

Yes Andy, they are supposed to be like that.

The content is visible to members only, if you are not a members you see exactly that: “Sorry, you cannot read because you are not a member” or something like that in every post.

Interesting. How did you do that then? Are you using a content filter?

So yes  if you want me to see if I can spy anything untoward with images I will need a login once again…

I am using a plugin called MEMBERS. It works really well.

I am sending you some login details now. 

Could you do something for me on your site? You have something running that runs a retina display script. Might be your theme but probably a plugin. If possible – can you turn it off? It is playing havoc with the script console and making it hard to see what s happening. It is certainly not working as it should…

On a separate note – do you know why your website is so slow to load? Or is it just me?

Today the site is extremely slow! Some problem with the server I suppose. Usually, the homepage loads in 2-3 seconds maximum…

Not done I am afraid. I am still seeing huge numbers of 404 errors as the server tries to find the x2 retina images that do not exist – that’s both for the forum images and for the other site images,

I will come back later on to look but currently I am waiting 3-4 minutes for pages to load and I suspect many of them are timing out which makes it impossible to really debug properly.

So will come back an try to see how it is loading later on.

The images are back on FF, it was a setting in the theme about retina stuff.

I still cannot see the avatars in the whole site with FF, but it seems I am the only one with that problem. Everybody else sees them…

Excellent. Killing that process off should also improve load times a little. As to not seeing Avatars – are you sure you do not simply need to clear your browser cache? And sorry – but I didn’t see any missing when I was looking!
