My counter for “unread” is not dropping once I read a topic. Also, if I click the button “mark all topics as read” nothing happens. It reset perfectly on this site when I clicked the button. Any ideas?
Are you using the SP Admin Bar plugin and are you the forum admin and are these posts still in the admin’s postbag? If they are then this would explain the difference…

OK, I found the admin postbag and yes there are posts in there.. when I view a post from it the counters still stay the same.
Ok, I found the empty postbag button and then pressed the mark all topics as read and the counters reset. Thanks
This will only apply to forum admins but if there are posts in the ‘postbag’ they will always be added to the personal unread list until they are dealt with – marked as read/replied to etc.
