Me and the Author have the same permission which is Member, and that permission allows giving/taking reputation and receiving/losing reputation. It says in the documentation that the reputation icon is somewhere below the first column of the post, and looks like a leaf. I cannot see it. It could have been a lot helpful if you included a picture in the documentation instead of just saying that it is somewhere below the column.
Where is the icon and how do I take, receive, gain and lose repuation? Reputation is so cryptic and so annoyingly difficult to understand and use.

the icon would be on the far left in the user info section (info on the poster)... as you say, its not there...
are you sure you applied the permission to the forum in question? just to be sure, permission sets and usegroups have to be applied to forums in order to take affect...
I could check this out,but it seems you revoked access on that temp account you sent us...
if you are sure, the permissions are right (you can look in the profile of the user under permissions and see what you have), then perhaps try going to forum - toolbox - housekeeping and try resetting the auths cache...

excellent though odd as the cache is auto reset anytime that something is done to invalidate it (and just tested on reputation)... but why we have the button too! 😉

Hi. I had another issue with the reputation icon not appearing again. I had to reset the auths cache again to make the reputation icon appear. I thought you said the auths cache is auto reset, but why do I have to keep on resetting it? Seems like something is not functioning right. You may check my site, stockswechart.com, username and password are: help@writerer.com.
good question... others are not having to reset it... in fact, in normal, steady state operation, it will never need to be reset...
it should be resetting if you change or reconfigure the options... did it happen after changing the setup?

please do...and in particular, what you were doing... plan to run some tests after Christmas myself... if there is an auths cache issue, its probably when another plugin or core changes something in the cache, and then reputation isnt getting invoked properly when its rebuilt...
