XYZ Contact short-code

I use a nice contact form tool that helps me manage contacts for commissions. It works by setting up the contact form in the plugin, then using a simple short-code associated with that particular contact form.

On WP pages or posts, all I have to do is place the short-code on the page wherever I want it, whether on visual or text editor. If it’s any help, the short-code looks like this – [xyz-cfm-form id=1]

I’ve tried different approaches in SP, but can’t seem to make the code work. Any suggestions?

Thanks

What are your shortcode forum settings on the Options > Content admin panel?

Looks like “Filter WP shortcodes.” I don’t recall setting it, but it’s all new to me anyway. Is there a good reason to have this filter on?

Yup! That’s it. Seems to work fine without the filter on.

The quick and knowledgeable responses are greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :)

The only thing to consider with that option is your users can now also enter any shortcode that you may have installed on your site. This may be no others – and they would have to know the nomenclature – but it does leave it open. by filtering and then specifying which shortcodes to allow you do minimise this. But 0 if not an issue then fine – leave it set like this.

either the filter off or put in the allowed list… with filter off, anyone who can post can use any shortcode on your site…

Which means they’d have to know what sort of short-code I’m using? As you may have guessed, this is way over my head. I can do it either way, but just don’t understand how much of a concern this could really be.

Thanks

May not be any concern. just making sure you understood.
