Cant Customize orange overlay reboot

hello i added reboot child theme to my site uploaded the orange overlay into my overlays folder renamed it to avalon and tried to change the base colors to make them darker but changing the hex colors didnt do anything

oh never mind you cant do it from the backend theme editor
