Issue with translation

Hey,

I have installed Unified with the French translation. But in the profile, on the front end, the forum is still in English (and only on this part, the rest of the forum is in French).

Do you have an idea why? It seems that it's translated in the file. And the translation is installed (and working well on the other part).

The methods used to layout, order and change the profile menus and tabs was no so easy to do using the usual 'gettext' system and, at the same time, was thought of as an area that many users want to customise.

Therefore you will need to supply your own translations for the profile options you are using. And you can do this on the forum admin > profiles > profile tabs and menus admin panel.

I do plan to look into how easy it might be to offer defaults however in the future but we are not there yet with that investigation.

Ok for menus, but even inside, it's always in English. Login Name, Display Name... Should pick that in French, right?

Thanks but I can replicate the problem. Most odds that this has not come up before this.

At first glance I can truthfully say I can see nothing wrong in the code. All the right things are happening except for the text replacement!

My apologies for this. I am hoping that this is not a WordPress change of some sort that we were unaware of. So - next step is some deep debugging. I am afraid I am gong to have to ask you to be patient...

I have the reason now and it is a change to the way the AJAX code functions. Next step is to discuss here how we resolve it. So getting closer!

Just checking up! Did you find a way to resolve it?

Ah - sorry. Yes we have. The fix I have put in place here is still subject to review and testing but I can tell you what to edit if you want to make the change to your code?
