if you having issues with tinymce or other js, likely because your theme is doing improper things and loading a very, very old version of jquery with:

then when wp loads its own, much more recent version of jquery (1.7.1) you get conflicts…

additionally, please make sure your wp theme has the proper wp_footer() call in the page footer…
